Thunderbird Signature Setup

Thunderbird supports both plain image signatures and HTML signatures per account, which makes it a good fit for a compact handwritten mark.

Create Signature First

Setup Steps

  1. Export a transparent PNG or copy the HTML signature block
  2. Open Account Settings for the account and find the Signature Text field
  3. Enable HTML signature to paste HTML, or attach the PNG as a signature file

Best Practices

  • Test with the HTML checkbox on and off if formatting looks wrong
  • Keep image signatures under a few hundred pixels wide
  • Set the signature per account if you manage more than one inbox
