Generate a Gmail-friendly signature

Start with a transparent PNG signature because Gmail handles image signatures reliably across web and mobile. Keep the signature width under about 300 pixels so it does not dominate replies.

Use black, dark blue, or a brand color that remains readable on white email backgrounds.

Add it to Gmail

Open Gmail settings, choose See all settings, scroll to Signature, and create a new signature. Insert the PNG image, add your name and contact details, then save changes.

Send a test email to another account and check the signature on desktop and mobile before using it for professional email.

When to use HTML instead

Use HTML if you need a structured block with social links, company website, role, and phone number. Keep it lightweight and avoid heavy images.

If Gmail strips styling during paste, switch to a PNG mark plus typed contact details inside Gmail.

Common Questions

Yes. A transparent PNG is one of the most reliable options for a Gmail handwritten signature.

Why is my Gmail signature image too big?

Resize the inserted image in Gmail or export a smaller image from SigVela before uploading it.
