How to Create a Transparent PNG Signature

Create a transparent signature image that works on PDFs, Word documents, email, and design tools.

Why transparent PNG is useful

A transparent PNG keeps only the signature strokes and removes the background. That lets the signature sit naturally on white documents, colored proposals, invoices, and email footers.

It is the safest default export for non-designers because most apps support PNG images.

Create the file

Generate or draw your signature in SigVela, open the export modal, and choose PNG. Use a dark color if the signature will appear on white paper.

Before placing it into a document, check that the signature is not too large. A professional signature should support the document, not overpower it.

Best uses

Use transparent PNG signatures for Gmail, Outlook, PDFs, Word documents, invoices, resumes, proposals, and portfolio files.

Common Questions

Does PNG keep the background transparent?

Yes. SigVela PNG exports are designed for transparent-background signature use.

Is PNG better than JPEG for signatures?

Usually yes. PNG supports transparency and keeps sharp edges better than JPEG.
